HOW IT WORKS
Explain what you want to build and who it would help. You do not need a polished business plan.
We draw one eligible entrant on February 1. Every eligible entry has the same chance.
Once the winner is confirmed, Dave and Luke help turn the prize into a practical starter system.

THE DETAILS / 2027 FOUNDERS
No purchase necessary. One prize. BC residents 19+. Entries January 1–31, 2027. Closes 11:59 p.m. Pacific. Random draw February 1; skill-testing question required. Odds depend on eligible entries. Full rules.
The 2027 Founders Giveaway is organized by Spark & Scale. Entries open January 1, 2027 at 12:00 a.m. Pacific and close January 31, 2027 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific. The random draw takes place February 1, 2027. The website’s server time determines whether an entry is received within the entry period.
Open to legal residents of British Columbia who are 19 or older when they enter and have a business idea they want to develop. Spark & Scale’s owners, people involved in administering this giveaway, and members of their immediate families or households are not eligible. One entry per person; multiple email addresses do not provide additional entries.
During the entry period, complete the form on this page with your name, email, BC city, business idea and the requested confirmations. No purchase or payment is necessary. A purchase, marketing subscription or the quality of your written idea does not improve your chance of winning. Do not include trade secrets or sensitive personal, financial or identity information.
One winner receives a Business Launch Package (regular service value $997 CAD) plus a branded one-page website (regular service value $500 CAD). Total approximate retail value: $1,497 CAD, promoted as approximately $1,500 in services. The prize is services, not a cash payment. It includes the six foundations and website described on this page. There is no charge for the awarded services.
The prize covers Spark & Scale’s setup and design services. Government filing fees, domain registration, hosting, email and accounting subscriptions, paid licences, advertising spend and ongoing services are not included. Any outside costs are explained before the winner agrees to them; a purchase from Spark & Scale is never a condition of receiving the prize. The package does not include incorporation, legal or tax advice, bookkeeping cleanup or a custom multi-page website.
One potential winner is selected at random from all eligible entries received by the deadline. Odds depend on the total number of eligible entries. The selected entrant will be contacted at the email supplied and must respond within seven calendar days, confirm eligibility and correctly answer a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question without assistance before being confirmed as the winner. If these conditions are not met, another eligible entrant may be drawn.
After the winner is confirmed, we arrange an onboarding conversation and agree on the delivery schedule. The winner supplies the business information, approvals and account access needed to complete the services. The prize is delivered within a reasonable period, subject to the winner’s cooperation and third-party approvals. Business registration, tax, platform and other outside decisions cannot be guaranteed. No cash alternative or transfer is offered.
Your idea remains yours. Entry does not grant Spark & Scale ownership of it or permission to publish your story or photograph. We use entry information to administer the giveaway, confirm eligibility and contact the selected entrant. Entries are stored privately in WordPress on Hostinger and available to authorized administrators. Marketing consent, if offered, is separate and optional. See the privacy notice.
Incomplete, duplicate, automated, fraudulent or ineligible entries are excluded. Spark & Scale may take reasonable steps to verify eligibility and prevent abuse. Technical interruptions do not extend the deadline unless an update is published here. This giveaway is run by Spark & Scale and is not sponsored or administered by social media platforms.
